Out walking recently, I came across these lovely ladies.

Out walking, I came across these rather lovely ladies, so I took their photo and

… sketched one of them.

Redrew her onto a canvas.

I like my work to break boundaries.

Now working quickly to get the base coat of colour down on the canvas. I chose the green to represent the field, but also as it helps the cow stand out.

From the top left, I start to work darker tones and look to develop texture.

Continuing down the body. Working the low lights and high lights to give texture and depth.

Finish off with the nose and horn highlights.
